Art Therapy Services

Individual sessions are $100 and 60 minutes in length.

I offer in-person and online sessions (using Zoom).

My practice will support you through a single life event or longer term requirements.

I adhere to the professional practice and standards as described by the Ontario Expressive Arts Therapy Code of Ethics.

Adult Individual Therapy

Whether through visual art, writing, storytelling, movement, dance, voice, music, imagination or play you can connect with your inner resources.

Sometimes what we need is a different perspective or to feel we’ve been heard. Other times we need support to manage and cope with our lives. Whether you are starting a new career, ending a relationship or feel stuck in making life changes, expressive art therapy can help to support a range of issues that may be affecting your well-being.

I have experience with women and men in various group and individual settings including transitional housing, LGBTQ community, mental health and palliative.

Child and Teen Individual Therapy

Ages 10 and up. Supporting children and youth through their developmental stages can give them additional resources they need to figure out and make sense of their environment, their relationships and themselves. Life changes such as COVID restrictions, a move or a new sibling can cause confusion or stress responses. Art therapy and play may provide the safety and freedom to explore and find healthier coping responses.

I have experience with refugee children, young care-givers, teenage mothers, bereavement, and stress.

An initial assessment session with a parent or both is required to discuss the child or teen’s circumstances and requirements for therapy.

Online Counselling

Online sessions are available.

I use Zoom to web-conference. I have been effectively using this approach as of March 2019. Zoom offers an effective secure environment for private and confidential sessions.

Online art therapy is as reasonably effective as in-person sessions. With slight adjustments in the sharing of art and play.

For the client’s comfort and safety, it is best if you have a confidential space in your home during the sessions.

I can recommend basic art material that can be sourced at Dollarama or a local art store. As well, we can arrange for an art kit to be delivered at cost.
